The origin of "Sponge Daddy". Sponge was a nickname I was given in college. When I was
trying to pick a yahoo chat name I added the Daddy to honor my kids. Of all the names I have
been called, Daddy (by my kids) is my favorite. I prefer this nickname because Dwain was very
much a frightened and abused little boy, and that is not me anymore. Yes, it is a part of who I
am, but it does not rule who I am.

Current medications:
Prednisone a simple steroid, fights the Crohns.
Remicade- Prescribed, but unaffordable
Inderal to fight the tremors in my hands
Mysoline to fight the tremors in my hands
Phenergan for nausea and vomiting
Lomotil to slow down my bowels a bit
Ultram a moderate pain killer, slow acting, but non sedating
Toradol injections a strong painkiller, fast but non-sedating
Percocet a narcotic I rarely use, but necessary when pain makes sleep difficult
Trazodone an anti-depressant that helps me sleep
Buspar a non-addictive sedative that slows down the mania when I need it to.
B-12 injections to make up for not absorbing B-12 (lost that part of small intestine)
Proventil inhaler for occasional bouts of asthma
Potassium-Because of the Crohn's, i lose potassium quickly and must take this.
To Date: 8 surgeries, about 22 hospitalizations.
