We will be heading out in a few minutes to head to Mayfield. My son has a concert tonight (Alex plats the trumpet). He does not know we will be there. Imagine the look on his face when he sees his Dad right before he has his show!
We have an appointment with a realtor in Graves county today as well. Hopefully we can find a residence today and the state will be finished with whatever red tape is holding things up. I would like to be settled within two weeks. I am ready to be out of here and settle down to being Daddy again. Alex is showing some symptoms of Crohn’s and I want to get him in to a specialist.
We had someone arrested last weekend for attempting to let the air of of Jamie’s car tires. One of the punks I had kicked out of here over the last months we were open decided to come back for revenge. The police found him before I even knew what was going on. Thank you, Pioneer Village’s finest.
The level of frustration when dealing with bureaucrats can be a bit much. Sadly we have let our govnernment get so caught up in regulations that even mowing the grass here at the old bowling alley can be a bit much.
Ally is supposed to meet up with us after she gets out of school today. Not sure where we are going to go for fun down there, other than the new bowling alley.
A bit scatter brained this morning, forgive me, I have the moving jitters.
Be well,
Sponge

Hello to my friends, fans, and readers. I have been mulling the idea of a formal blog over for quite some time. Back when i first started this website, nearly two years ago, the program I used did not allow for blogging at this level. So I added what I call the “Whassupp?” section to keep you all posted on the latest news. I have neglected that section as of late, since updating each section of my website takes far longer than I care to admit, even with broadband. Now that my domain provider has WordPress in it, the blog can take shape.
The Whassupp section will soon be removed from spongedaddy.com. Instead this blog will be taking its place. Also, I am going to remove the “Caddy’s Corner” from the website. My former caddie, Thad, has been bogged down with his new job for some time and has not been able to give me any fresh stuff. I will save his works for future reference, but they will no longer be an accessible part of the website.
Now that I am no longer working at the bowling alley, one of the things I will be able to dedicate more time to is this website. While I am proud of what I taught myself, I still think that many portions of it look very amateurish. In case you all do not know, I like to do things well, I am a harsh critic of myself.
There has been one section that I have not touched in some time. The Hawks section, about those who overcome their misery, I need to do serious work on that as well. My aunt passed away a year ago, and I just have not been able to remove her from the stories there. Also, I still have info buried in file boxes from one of you. I have not forgotten. Once we are finished moving in a few weeks, I will get my office set back up in full. For too long everything has been cramped into one tiny section of a 400 square foot apartment.
*************
Jamie and I will be using this blog to post daily updates on just about everything, from bowling, health, to time with my kids. I also might be chiming in from time to time with some commentary on social or political topics. I do not like getting political, I do not think it is my place. However, since quite a few folks who call themselves experts bother to have a political blog, I think it is time to even up the landscape.
I will not allow spam on here. Also, intelligent comments are allowed, but ad-hominems will be promptly deleted. You may attack another posters opinions, but NOT the poster. You may say “Joe, your opinions suck.” You may NOT say, “Joe, you suck.” We welcome intelligent debate, if there is any left out there.
We wil be trying to update the blog daily. But once we start the move, it will be a few days before we have our net service restored. Also, I like to work from a clean and organized office space. Until that is done, writing will be difficult.
Now then, go ahead and register with WordPress, it is simple. Once you resister, feel free to post your first reply here. Some of you I am dying to hear from again.
Be well,
Sponge
